Background:

Essential transmembrane GTPase, which mediates mitochondrial fusion. Fusion of mitochondria occurs in many cell types and constitutes an important step in mitochondria morphology, which is balanced between fusion and fission. MFN1 acts independently of the cytoskeleton. Overexpression induces the formation of mitochondrial networks.

Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded rat testis; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 20min; Antibody incubation with Mitofusin 1 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-0557R) at 1:400 overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary for 20 minutes and DAB staining.
