Background:

Involved in neuronal differentiation, including differentiation and migration of neuronal stem cells. Plays a role in neuronal plasticity and is involved in neurite and filopodia outgrowth, filopodia motility and probably synapse formation. GPM6A-induced filopodia formation involves mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and Src signaling pathways. May be involved in neuronal NGF-dependent Ca(2+) influx. May be involved in regulation of endocytosis and intracellular trafficking of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs); enhances internalization and recycling of mu-type opioid receptor.

VALIDATION IMAGES

RSC96 cells probed with GPM6A Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-10757R) at 1:500 for 30 minutes followed by incubation with a conjugated secondary (PE conjugated) (green) for 30 minutes compared to control cells (blue), secondary only (light blue) and isotype control (orange).


Lane 1: Rat Spinal cord lysates; Lane 2: Rat Lung lysates; Lane 3: Human U251 cell lysates; Lane 4: Human U87MG cell lysates probed with GPM6A Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-10757R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4˚C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.
