Background:
Signal transducer and transcription activator that mediates cellular responses to interleukins, KITLG/SCF and other growth factors. May mediate cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Binds to the interleukin-6 (IL-6)-responsive elements identified in the promoters of various acute-phase protein genes. Activated by IL31 through IL31RA. Cytoplasmic STAT3 represses macroautophagy by inhibiting EIF2AK2/PKR activity. Plays an important role in host defense in methicillin-resistant S.aureus lung infection by regulating the expression of the antimicrobial lectin REG3G (By similarity).

Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded rat lung tissue labeled with Anti-STAT3 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody (bs-1141R), (SP-0023), and DAB staining
Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded human cervical tissue labeled with Anti-STAT3 Polyclonal Antibody (bs-1141R), Unconjugated at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody, (SP-0023), and DAB staining
RSC96 cells probed with Rabbit Anti-STAT3 Polyclonal Antibody (bs-1141R),6ug, for 30 minutes followed by incubation with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG FITC conjugated secondary (bs-0295G-FITC)at 0.5ug(green) for 30 minutes compared to control cells (blue), secondary only (light blue) and isotype control (orange).
Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded Mouse lung; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with STAT3 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1141R) at 1:400 overnight at 4°C, DAB staining.
Tissue/cell: A549 cell; 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed; Triton X-100 at room temperature for 20 min; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum, C-0005) at 37°C for 20 min; Antibody incubation with (STAT3) polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-1141R) 1:100, 90 minutes at 37°C; followed by a FITC conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG antibody at 37°C for 90 minutes, DAPI (blue, C02-04002) was used to stain the cell nuclei.
