Background:
May mediate the control of various cellular processes by insulin. When phosphorylated by the insulin receptor binds specifically to various cellular proteins containing SH2 domains such as phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p85 subunit or GRB2. Activates phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase when bound to the regulatory p85 subunit (By similarity).

Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma labeled with Anti phospho-IRS1(Ser612) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-3200R) at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody
Hela cells were fixed with 70% ice-cold methanol overnight at 4℃,0.1% PBST for 20 min at room temperature, and incubated in 5% BSA blocking buffer for 30 min at room temperature. Cells were then stained with IRS1(Tyr612) Polyclonal Antibody at 1:50 dilution in blocking buffer and incubated for 30 min at room temperature, washed twice with 2%BSA in PBS, followed bysecondary antibody incubation for 40 min at room temperature. Acquisitions of 20,000 events were performed. Control cells (dark blue), secondary only (light blue), Isotype control (orange) and IRS1(Tyr612) (green)
