Background:

HBe virus like particle is used in the competitive assay to detect HBe antibody from infected HBV patients. Recombinant HBe monomer contains a His tag, running at is about 18kDa on 10% SDS-PAGE. In competitive HBe antibody test, monoclonal HBe antibody, Mab-HBe is used to conjugate to colloid gold, and HBe-VLP is coated on the membrane.
