Background:

May play an essential role in local proteolysis of the extracellular matrix and in leukocyte migration. Could play a role in bone osteoclastic resorption. Cleaves KiSS1 at a Gly-|-Leu bond. Cleaves type IV and type V collagen into large C-terminal three quarter fragments and shorter N-terminal one quarter fragments. Degrades fibronectin but not laminin or Pz-peptide.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded human colon carcinoma labeled with Anti-MMP9 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-4593R) at 1:200 followed by conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining.


L1 mouse brain lysates L2 mouse heart lysates probed with Anti MMP9 Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-4593R) at 1:200 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:3000 for 90 min at RT. Predicted band 78kD. Observed band size: 78kD.
