Isotype: IgG

Entrez Gene: 24930

Swiss Prot: P07725

Source: KLH conjugated synthetic peptide derived from rat CD8 alpha

Purification: Purified by Protein A.

Storage Buffer: 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.

Storage: Shipped at 4°C. Store at -20°C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Background:

Identifies cytotoxic/suppressor T-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets. CD8 is thought to play a role in the process of T-cell mediated killing. CD8 alpha chains binds to class I MHC molecules alpha-3 domains.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded rat colon labeled with Anti-CD8 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-4791R) at 1:200 followed by secondary antibody was Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Cy3 conjugated (bs-0295G-Cy3) used at 1:200 dilution for 40 minutes at 37°C. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei.

Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded rat spleen; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 20min; Antibody incubation with CD8 alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-4791R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary and DAB staining.
