Background:

The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA polymerase involved in base excision and repair, also called gap-filling DNA synthesis. The encoded protein, acting as a monomer, is normally found in the cytoplasm, but it translocates to the nucleus upon DNA damage. Several transcript variants of this gene exist, but the full-length nature of only one has been described to date.

Lane 1: Hela cell lysates; Lane 2: POLB knockout (KO) HeLa cell lysates probed with POLB Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-55168R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4˚C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.


Lane 1: Jurkat cell lysates; Lane 2: Mouse skeletal muscle lysates probed with POLB Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-55168R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4˚C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.
