Background:

Serine/threonine protein kinase which forms a receptor complex on ligand binding. The receptor complex consisting of 2 type II and 2 type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators, SMAD2 and SMAD3. Receptor for activin AB, activin B and NODAL. Plays a role in cell differentiation, growth arrest and apoptosis.

H9C2 cells probed with Rabbit Anti-Activin A Receptor Type IC Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-5777R) at 1:100 for 30 minutes followed by incubation with a conjugated secondary (bs-0295G-FITC) (green) for 30 minutes compared to control cells (blue), secondary only (light blue) and isotype control (orange).


Lane 1: mouse brain lysates Lane 2: mouse heart lysates probed with Anti ACTRIC/Activin A Receptor Type IC Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-5777R) at 1:200 in 4˚C. Followed by conjugation to secondary antibody (bs-0295G-HRP) at 1:3000 90min in RT. Predicted band 52kD. Observed band size: 52kD.
