Source: KLH conjugated synthetic peptide encoding HA tag (YPYDVPDYA) was used as antigen.

Purification: Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified by protein G and Ni-NTA nickel affinity chromatography, followed by dialysis against PBS.

Storage Buffer: 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.

Storage: Store at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage, store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Background:

Epitope tags consisting of short sequences recognized by well-characterized monoclonal antibodies have been widely used in the study of protein expression in various systems. The HA tag (YPYDVPDYA) and Myc Tag (AEEQKLISEEDLLRKRREQLKHKLE), recognized by monoclonal antibody clones 12CA5 and 9E10, respectively, are illustrative examples. The anti-HA Tag monoclonal antibody (Clone 12CA5) provides a simple solution to detect the expression of an HA-tagged protein in cells.
