Source: This EPCAM antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 59-86 amino acids from human EPCAM.

Purification: Purified by Protein A.

Storage Buffer: 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.

Storage: Store at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage, store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Background:

May act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) at the mucosal epithelium for providing immunological barrier as a first line of defense against mucosal infection. Plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. Up-regulates the expression of FABP5, MYC and cyclins A and E.

VALIDATION IMAGES

25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with EpCAM monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-51174M) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
