Background:

Defects in KRT4 are a cause of white sponge nevus of cannon (WSN) [MIM:193900]. WSN is a rare autosomal dominant disorder which predominantly affects non-cornified stratified squamous epithelia. Clinically, it is characterized by the presence of soft, white, and spongy plaques in the oral mucosa. The characteristic histopathologic features are epithelial thickening, parakeratosis, and vacuolization of the suprabasal layer of oral epithelial keratinocytes. Less frequently the mucous membranes of the nose, esophagus, genitalia and rectum are involved.

VALIDATION IMAGES

293T cell lysates probed with Cytokeratin 4 (2F9) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52062R) at 1:1000 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by a conjugated secondary antibody.


Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded human tonsil; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer at 37°C for 20min; Antibody incubation with Cytokeratin 4 (2F9) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52062R) at 1:50 overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary and DAB staining.


HeLa cells were stained with Cytokeratin 4 (2F9) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52062R) at [1:200] incubated overnight at 4C, followed by secondary antibody incubation, DAPI staining of the nuclei and detection.


MCF-7 cells were stained with Cytokeratin 4 (2F9) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52062R) at [1:200] incubated overnight at 4C, followed by secondary antibody incubation, DAPI staining of the nuclei and detection.
