Background:

Involved in redox regulation of the cell. Reduces peroxides with reducing equivalents provided through the thioredoxin system but not from glutaredoxin. May play an important role in eliminating peroxides generated during metabolism. Might participate in the signaling cascades of growth factors and tumor necrosis factor-alpha by regulating the intracellular concentrations of H(2)O(2). Reduces an intramolecular disulfide bond in GDPD5 that gates the ability to GDPD5 to drive postmitotic motor neuron differentiation (By similarity).

Lane 1: Hela; Lane 2: A431 lysate probed with Peroxiredoxin 1 (7A1) Monoclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bsm-52127R) at 1:1000 overnight at 4˚C. Followed by a conjugated secondary antibody.


Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded human liver carcinoma; Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal serum) at 37°C for 20min; Antibody incubation with Peroxiredoxin 1 (7A1) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52127R) at 1:50 overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary and DAB staining.

HepG2 cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.25% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% normal goat serum in PBS, and stained with Peroxiredoxin 1 (7A1) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52127R) at 1:200 in blocking solution. Slides were incubated overnight at 4°C followed by FITC conjugated secondary antibody inclubation and DAPI staining of the nucleus.


Lane 1: Human HepG2 cell lysates; Lane 2: Human A549 cell lysates; Lane 3: Human U-2OS cell lysates; Lane 4: Mouse Cerebrum lysates probed with Peroxiredoxin 1 monoclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bsm-52127R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4˚C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at 1:20000 for 60 min at 37˚C.
