Background:
Neurofilaments usually contain three intermediate filament proteins: L, M, and H which are involved in the maintenance of neuronal caliber. NF-H has an important function in mature axons that is not subserved by the two smaller NF proteins.

Paraformaldehyde-fixed and paraffin-embedded Rat cerebellumy tissue incubated with Neurofilament heavy polypeptide (4C3) Monoclonal Antibody (bsm-52851R) at 1:100, overnight at 4°C, followed by a conjugated secondary antibody and DAB staining. Counterstained with hematoxylin.
