Background:

Part of a specialized transcription system that mediates the transcription of most ribosomal proteins through the 5'-TCT-3' motif which is a core promoter element at these genes. Seems to also mediate the transcription of NF1. Does not bind the TATA box.

VALIDATION IMAGES

Western blot analysis of (1) HeLa cell lysate; (2) Mouse testis lysate. Using TBPL1 (bsm-61528R) monoclonal antibody at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
