Isotype: IgG

Entrez Gene: 2645

Swiss Prot: P35557

Source: KLH conjugated synthetic peptide derived from human GCK

Purification: Purified by Protein A.

Storage Buffer: 0.01M TBS (pH 7.4), 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin 300, and 50% Glycerol

Storage: Shipped at 4C. Store at -20C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Background:

Catalyzes the initial step in utilization of glucose by the beta-cell and liver at physiological glucose concentration. Glucokinase has a high Km for glucose, and so it is effective only when glucose is abundant. The role of GCK is to provide G6P for the synthesis of glycogen.

Size: 100µL

Concentration: Lot dependent

Predicted Molecular Weight: 52

Cross Reactive Species: Human

VALIDATION IMAGES

25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with GLK monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-62241R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
