Background:

Serine protease inhibitor, probably important for the anti-inflammatory and/or antimicrobial protection of mucous epithelia. Inhibits KLK5, it's major target, in a pH-dependent manner. Inhibits KLK7, KLK14 CASP14, and trypsin.

VALIDATION IMAGES

25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with SPINK5/LEKTI monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-62643R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
